About Us
Thai Thai is a family-owned business founded by Chef Somchai Sriweawnetr. The restaurant is run and managed by his two daughters, Lucky Sriweawnetr and Sara Plabutong, and his son-in-law Somphol Plabutong. It is located on Roche Brothers Way, in North Easton, Massachusetts. The Sriweawnetr and Plabutong family are originally from Bangkok, Thailand, and live in Massachusetts.
Our History
After immigrating to the U.S. from Thailand, our family settled in the Greater Boston area. Two of the first restaurants we opened, Thai Village and Equator, were both located in South End, Boston. Equator opened its doors on May 12, 2004, offering full-service dining, take-out, and delivery to the neighborhood.
Our third restaurant was in Rangeley, Maine, and the fourth in Stoneham. Sharing our food with others is a part of our family history—and with Thai Thai, we hope to bring our delicious cuisine and warm service to the town of Easton.
The executive chef of Thai Thai is Sara and Lucky’s father, Somchai Sriweawnetr—better known as Chef Sam—who has been a professional chef for more than 40 years. With experience serving senators, ambassadors, and former presidents around the world, he brings his worldly expertise to this local establishment.
